Description
This appeal involves a conviction for the sale of a dangerous drug (marijuana) contrary to secs. 161.30 (2) and 161.30 (12) (d), Stats. On May 13, 1971, at approximately 7 a. m., defendant Thomas Monsoor was arrested at his residence in the city of La Crosse. The marijuana sale allegedly occurred on March 16, 1971, to Kim Kasabuske, an undercover investigator for the state department of Justice. Kasabuske testified he had been engaged in undercover investigation of illegal drug activities in the La Crosse area during the period of January to May of 1971. Disguised with long hair and a beard, Kasabuske used the alias of Kenneth Kaston and worked with an informant, Douglas Duke Bowman, who would introduce him to others as an army buddy. Kasabuske's investigation in La Crosse resulted in approximately 30 arrests.
